Geely’s First Ever Ro-ro Vessel “Jisu Fortune” embarks on its Historic Maiden Voyage to Europe, Accelerating Global Expansion

22nd May, 2025, China – Geely Holding proudly celebrated a major milestone with the official launch of its first self-owned ro-ro (roll on/ roll off) ship, “Geely JISU Fortune”, operated by JISU Logistics. Departing from Taicang Port, China, the state-of-the-art ship has set sail on its maiden voyage carrying 5,000 units to key European markets such as the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and beyond. This landmark voyage enables Geely to efficiently ship vehicles from our diverse portfolio of brands including Geely Auto, Lynk &Co, Zeekr, and more, to customers worldwide, marking a significant step in Geely’s journey to strengthen its global presence and deliver world-class vehicles to international markets with greater efficiency.

With an overall length of 199.9 meters, a width of 38 meters, a design draught of 8.6 meters and a design speed of 19 knots, the vessel has a 12-storey car deck, including an 8-storey fixed vehicle deck and a 4-storey lifting deck, and has the capacity of loading 7,000 Cars, Heavy trucks and other models. The ship’s 12 car decks can be loaded with petrol vehicles and new energy vehicles equipped with lithium batteries., Lastly the 11th and 12th decks are specifically used to transport hydrogen and natural gas-fueled new energy vehicles.
The ro-ro vessel is set to revolutionize maritime logistics on key global routes, including the Asia-Europe route (Cape of Good Hope route), China-Brazil route, and other strategic pathways. The JISU Fortune is equipped with two sets of 2,000 cubic meters C-type LNG storage tanks and powered by green LNG fuel, significantly reducing emissions and energy consumption. Its flexible fuel options, exceptional route adaptability, and low per-unit energy use make it a leader in the industry’s shift toward larger, greener, and smarter ro-ro vessels.
The official launch of the Geely JISU Fortune strengthens Geely Automobile’s global logistics network, boosting export efficiency and enhancing the brand’s competitiveness in the international market. The vessel will primarily serve as the export transport of Geely and its affiliated brands that will cover the core markets of Europe, Asia, and the Americas, which will ensure the delivery of products to global consumers in a more efficient and sustainable way.
